Acacia Fraternity

Preparing Tomorrow’s Leaders Since 1904

Brotherhood

Being a member of Acacia makes you part of an international brotherhood, from Carleton to Louisiana. Brotherhood spans from our local everyday events to the biannual international Conclave.

Academics

Academics are the number one priority for our brothers. We strive to have each brother attain academic success and take pride in our achievements. Our alumni corporate board rewards academically successful brothers with a scholarship based on his GPA.

Human Service

Acacia’s motto is “ΩΦΕΛΟΥΝΤΕΣ ΑΝΘΡΩΠΟΥΣ” or – in English – Human Service. Our brothers uphold our motto by serving the Ames community in a number of ways.

About Us

Acacia is a Greek Social Fraternity with the distinction of being the only International Fraternity to choose a Greek word as its name rather than Greek letters. Acacians strive to achieve excellence and balance in college and throughout their lifetimes. Acacia was founded by Master Masons in 1904 at the University of Michigan, and today is an international fraternity with chapters in Canada and across the United States.
